SELKIRK Georgia Chicorelli, a lifelong resident of Selkirk, died Friday, May 9, 2003. Born in Coeymans Hollow on July 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Bessie Golden Coons. After attending Ravena High School, she was employed by the General Electric Co., the Watervliet Arsenal and the Naval Air Station in San Diego, Calif. For many years she was employed as a waitress for Alteri's Restaurant. Prior to her retirement, she was a part-time file clerk with the NYS Taxation and Finance Department. Mrs. Chicorelli is survived by three children, Thomas Giammattei and his wife Pamela of Valatie, Anthony Giammattei of Albany and Mark Giammattei and his wife Cynthia of Selkirk; two grandchildren, Amy Giammattei of North Greenbush and Andrew Giammattei of Delmar; two sisters, Helen Quay of Coeymans Hollow and Caroline Rowe of Deans Mills; and her dear friend, Bill Zakens of Selkirk. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Guy Chicorelli; one sister, Fannie Radley; and three brothers, Howard, Willis and Charles Coons. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Ravena. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 21 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143.
