Headley, Jacquelyn K. WINCHESTER, Va. Jacquelyn Kennedy Headley, formerly of Ravena, N.Y. and Chandler, Ariz. for 20 years, died May 6, 2008. She was 77 years old. Born in Albany, N.Y., Jackie was the wife of Joel Tyler Headley for 58 years; mother of Joel Tyler III and Wendy of Va., Nancy Headley Summer and Lee of Woodland Hills, Calif. and K. Scott and Elane of Durango, Colo.; grandchildren, Austin, Nicholas and Andrew Headley and Stephanie and Shayna Summer; aunt to two nephews, Phillip and Stephen Headley. Jackie was predeceased by her parents, Ester and Kenneth Kennedy. Jackie was a graduate of the Albany Academy for Girls. She had been on the board of the American Red Cross of Albany, treasurer and president of the New York Jaycees and member of the Albany Junior League. She worked on many fund drives. Jackie volunteered at Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital of Albany, Desert Samaritan and Chandler Regional Hospital of Ariz. and the Blood Services of Arizona. She totaled over 5,000 hours of volunteering in hospitals. She was a life member of the DAR. Jackie was a good neighbor. She was among the first to help or organize aid to friends in need. She enjoyed people and people enjoyed her. She loved to laugh and to spread joy. Despite working and volunteering, her family always came first. Jackie had a true Christian heart, having been a member of the Ravena Congregational Christian Church (N.Y.) for 67 years, Tempe Christian Church (Ariz.) and Opequon Presbyterian Church (Va). Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday, May 13 at the Congregational Christian Church, Ravena with burial to follow in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore.
