Persico, Vincenzo "Jimmy" RAVENA Vincenzo "Jimmy" Persico passed away suddenly Monday, May 26, 2008 at home and is now joined forever with his wife Peggy. Jimmy was a Ravena resident all his life. Jimmy was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired after many years of service with the former Blue Circle Cement Co. Jimmy was an avid Yankee fan all his life. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, had been on the board of directors and member of the Senior Projects of Ravena and a member of the Ravena VFW. Jimmy was predeceased by his wife Peggy Karrk Persico. Survivors include his children, Michael (Kim) Persico of Coeymans, Rosanne Persico of Copake and Christine Persico of Albany; grandchildren, Joseph, Michael and Nicholas Persico; brother, Sam Persico; and sister-in-law, Marion Karrk. Jimmy was predeceased by his brothers, Elmer, Frank and Anthony Persico and sister, Josephine DeMatteo. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, May 29 at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions in memory of Jimmy may be made to Senior Projects of Ravena, P.O. Box 142, Ravena, NY 12143.
