Borrelli, Robert RAVENA Robert (Bob) Borrelli passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of July 8, 2008. Born in Harrison, N.Y., he was the eldest son of the late Robert and Lucille (Becky) Borrelli. Bob received his master's degree in public administration from New York University and was employed by the New York State Department of Health for over 30 years. When he retired from the state service in 2004, he was the director of the Partnership for Long Term Care. He loved the beauty and serenity of the Catskill Mountains and vacationing in sunny Cancun, Mexico. His passions were family, learning, collecting and building. Bob is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sandy Barr Borrelli; his beloved daughter, Carla; and his favorite sheltie, Nipper. Other survivors include his three siblings, Rebecca Borrelli Balesh of Harrison, Ark., Roger Borrelli of Stamford, Conn. and Joel Borrelli of Hunter, N.Y. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, July 12 at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Friends may call at the Caswell Funeral Home, Martins Hill, Ravena on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. If desired, donations in memory of Bob Borrelli may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
