Smith, Theodore D. SELKIRK Theodore D. Smith, son of the late Floyd and Bernice (Carkner) Smith, passed away Monday, July 7, 2008. Ted was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Military Order of the Cooties. He was a former member of the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance, Selkirk Fire Department, and volunteered at the VA. He enjoyed bowling and watching Yankee games. Ted was a very quiet compassionate person. He touched many children's lives. His dog Jetski, cats, and family will deeply miss him. Survivors include his loving devoted friend and wife, Lou (Baumes) Smith; children, Patrick, Philip, Kathleen and James Kelly; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one aunt; and many cousins. Ted was predeceased by his son, Frederick Smith. Thank you to the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance, Associated Healthcare and the Veterans Administration Hospital. The doctors, nurses, and everyone at the VA were wonderful. A special thank you to Christina Moore. The care and compassion shown Ted will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance or the Veterans Hospital.
