RAVENA Robert H. Burns Sr., 64, died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Albany Medical Center, after a long illness. Bob was born in Catskill and lived all his life in Ravena. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Robert retired in 1990 after many years of service at Marshall's Garage in Ravena. He was an avid camper, member of the Sippin Sams Camp Club and a winter Texan. Bob was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. Survivors include his loving wife, Cora Smith Burns of Ravena; children, Robert H. (Erin) Burns Jr. of Niskayuna, Connie (Matt) Mortefolio and David (Raeann) Burns, all of Ravena; sisters, Mary Wolfe of S.C., Elizabeth Friday and Kathryn DiNapoli, both of Ravena; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Smith of Selkirk; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and many, many great friends. A funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29 at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. There will be no calling hours. Contributions, in memory of Robert, may be made to the American Diabetes Association, NYS Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 31160, Hartford, CT 06150-1160 or the Albany Medical Center, CPS Unit, 43 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208.
