RAVENA Charles Cistin, 85, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Albany Memorial Hospital due to Alzheimer's and lung congestion. His beloved family was at his bedside. Charles was born in Czechoslovakia, son of the late Frank and Josephine Cistin. He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Charles was an Army veteran of World War II, attaining the rank of 1st lieutenant. He was employed for 25 years with General Electric in Schenectady as a designing engineer. In the 1970s, he owned and operated the Tally Ho Drive In for seven years in Ravena with his wife. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Shirley of Ravena; children, Janice (Clyde) Zunker of Tenn., Timothy Cistin of Rensselaer, Deborah (Eric) Hanson of Clifton Park and Joanne (Donald) Parker of Niskayuna; grandchildren, Donald and David Parker and Stacey and Kelsey Hanson. Charles was predeceased by his brother, Frank. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
