RAVENA Charles A. Lockwood, 90, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center in Delmar. Charles was born in Coeymans, son of the late Felix and Helen Court Lockwood. In 1977, Charles retired after many years of service with the railroad where he worked as an electrician. Charles was a member of the Congregational Christian Church where he had taught Sunday school and had served as a deacon. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Clara Lee Lockwood of Ravena; son, Alan Lee (Judith) Lockwood of Wis.; grandchildren, Brian of Minn. and Keith of Mont.; brother, Raymond Lockwood of Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by his sisters, Harriet Spoor, Marion Elmendorf and Susie Wells. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 14 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the spring. Contributions in memory of Charles may be made to the Congregational Christian Church, 175 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143.
