RAVENA Louise M. Amedio, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2003 surrounded by her loving family. Louise was born in South Bethlehem and lived most of her life in Ravena. She was employed at the New York State Division of Audit and Control, retiring in 1983 after 37 years of service. Louise was also very active in her local community. She was a faithful communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Ravena, a member of the Rosary Altar Society and did volunteer work at St. Patrick's Thrift Shop. Louise was a supporting member and treasurer of the Catholic Daughters of America and belonged to Cursillo, a prayer organization. She also was a member and former treasurer of Senior Projects of Ravena. Louise was the sister of Angela (Chris) Biscone, Eugene (June) Amedio and Mary (Tom) Behan; close family member of Faith Turner and Tom Forrest; dear friend of Eileen Reilly. Louise was loved and endeared by many nieces, nephews, grand and great-grandnieces and nephews and will be remembered for her many acts of kindness to whomever she touched. She was predeceased by her sister, Anne Tateo and brothers, Joseph, John, Dominic and Louis Amedio. Relatives and friends may call at Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. The funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, December 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Memorial contributions to St. Patrick's Church, 21 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143 or to St. Peter's Hospice Inn, 315 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 will be appreciated.
