RAVENA Florence Orsino Sorell, 71, entered eternal life Thursday, May 18, 2006. Florence was born in Albany and lived all her life in Ravena. She attended the Cathedral Academy in Albany. In 1996, Florence retired after 20 years of service with NYS Department of Social Services. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Ravena, a member of the Columbiettes Mother McAuley Council, volunteered at the church thrift shop and was a member of the Senior Projects of Ravena. Survivors include her husband, Frank P. Sorell of Ravena; children, Frank P. (Diane Joy) Sorell Jr. of Houston, Texas, Rosemary (John) Albano of Hannacroix and Catherine (John) Macintyre of Coeymans; grandchildren, Justin (Bethany) Albano of N.H. and Jonathan (Karen) Albano of Coeymans; and great-grandson, Carter Stephen Albano. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Sunday, May 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Florence may be made to Senior Projects of Ravena or St. Patrick's Church.
