GLENMONT Marvin W. Buster Gifford, 71, died Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Buster was born in Black River, N.Y. and had lived in Glenmont since 1962. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. In 1994, Marvin retired after 20 years of service with the Town of Bethlehem Highway Department. Survivors include his wife Ruth Gifford of Glenmont; daughters, Sandy (Kevin) Lamica of Voorheesville and Dawn Gifford of Albany; grandchildren, Gina (Stephen) Domermuth and Adam Lamica; great-grandson, Stephen Domermuth; sisters, Betty Tompkins of Leeds, Mildred Babcock of Fla., Margaret McGrail of West Sand Lake and Joan Gifford of Latham. Marvin was predeceased by his son, Eric W. Gifford and brothers, Kenneth, Raymond and Albert (Bud) Gifford. Funeral services will be held 7:00 Friday evening January 23 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday preceding the service starting at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Center for the Disabled, 314 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
