Pape, Katherine E. COEYMANS Katherine E. Pape, 89, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2006, at St. Peter's Hospital. She lived most of her life as a resident of the Hamlet of Coeymans, except 20 years spent in Selkirk. Katherine was the daughter of the late Edward and Decima Elmendorf; wife of the late Carmen (Bert) Pape. Survivors are Roberta P. Farrell (Christopher Jr.) of Va., Barbara E. Hardy of Mich., Daniel E. Pape (Debra) of N.C., Mary K. Pape of Coeymans; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Elmendorf of Niskayuna; a niece, Susan Perkins of Niskayuna. Predeceased relatives a include a sister, Mary C. Elmendorf of Fla. and a son-in-law, Oscar Weidler of Mich. Katherine was active in Girl Scouts, 4H, and Boy Scouts. She helped establish the Ravena Free Library and for 16 years, was in charge of it. She did volunteer work at Albany Med for 10 years, was a member of the former Coeymans Methodist Church and the Home Bureau. She was also a former president of the PTA. Friends may call at the family home in Coeymans on Wednesday, November 29, between 4 and 8 p.m. All other services are private. The family requests that those who wish to remember Katherine, make contributions to The Northest Association of the Blind of Albany (NABA), 301 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12206.
