EAST GREENBUSH Eleanor Bishop Oknewski, 85, died Friday, February 25, 2005 at Memorial Hospital. Eleanor was born in Albany and had lived in Ravena 42 years, S.C. 15 years and in East Greenbush. She was active in the Presbyterian Church in S.C. and the First Presbyterian Church in Rensselaer. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Clyde Bishop Sr. Survivors include her husband, Bernard Oknewski of E. Greenbush; children, Carol Dunn of Selkirk and Clyde (Buddy) Bishop Jr. of Ariz.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Crawford and Mary Velez. Eleanor was predeceased by her sister, Julia Pagano. Funeral services will be held 2:00 Sunday afternoon, February 27 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will take place in the spring. Contributions in memory of Eleanor may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 34 Broad First Way, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
