RAVENA Oscar H. Boomer, 81, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005 at St. Peter's Hospital. Oscar was born and lived in Ravena all his life. He owned and operated Boomer's Garage since 1946. He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Ravena, a life member of the Coeymans Hollow Fire Co., the NRA and the Northeast Stock Car Old Timers Club. Oscar was predeceased by his wife, June Dixon Boomer. Survivors include his children, Carolyn Carly (Alvah) Crewell, Cynthia A. McMullen, Walter O. Boomer and Daniel A. (Robin) Boomer; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Oscar was predeceased by his brothers, Asa and Ray Boomer and an infant sister. Funeral services will be held 10:00 Wednesday morning, March 30 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will be in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Contributions to Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, 110 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143 in memory of Oscar would be greatly appreciated.
