ALBANY Margaret A. VanDerlofske, 76, died Monday, April 25, 2005 at Hospice Inn in St. Peter's Hospital after a short illness. Margaret was born in Astoria, Long Island and has lived in the Ravena area for 45 years. She was a life member of the ladies auxiliary of the Coeymans Hollow Fire Co. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Carl J. VanDerlofske Sr.; children, Sue Dever, Carol Keating, Peg Jones, Carl VanDerlofske Jr., Mary Hillmann and Ed VanDerlofske; sister, Frances O'Halloran; brothers, Edward, Timothy and Robert Whalen; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Cecilia Whalen, and her sister, Irene Whalen. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2005 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions in memory of Margaret may be made to the ladies auxiliary of the Coeymans Hollow Fire Co.
