GLENMONT Luther G. Fourman passed away suddenly at St. Peter's Hospital on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the age of 84. Luther was an Army Veteran serving during World War II and was a POW. He resided in Selkirk for many years and was active in the First Reformed Church of Bethlehem. He loved his family very much and will be missed deeply. Survivors include his wife, Freda Snyder Fourman; son, Stephen (Shirley) Fourman; daughter, Donna (Kevin) Boyd; daughter-in-law, Mary Helen Carhart; seven grandchildren, Bruce and Scott Fourman, Amy Boyd Nistico, Jessica Boyd Rafferty and Michael, Jason and Christopher Fourman; sisters, Naomi Westbrook, Rosemary Dottino and Jean Kaser; and nine great-grandchildren. Luther was predeceased by his son, Luther, Jr. and sister, Lillian Chapman. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, April 30 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Selkirk. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Contributions in memory of Luther may be made to the American Heart Association.
