NEW BALTIMORE Morton D. Tryon, 81, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Morton was born in Coeymans Hollow and lived in the area all his life. He was an Army veteran, serving during World War II. In 1985, he retired after 20 years of service with Penn Truck Lines. Morton was a life member and past commodore of the Coxsackie Yacht Club, a member of the Flying Knights and Greene County Aero Modelers. Survivors include his wife, Helen Stacey Rivenburg Tryon of New Baltimore; daughter, Sharon (Scott) Davis of Fla.; stepsons, Frederick of Coxsackie, Donald of Climax and Richard of Manhattan, Rivenburg; niece, Lyn Kmieciak of N.C.; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2005 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will be in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Contributions in memory of Morton may be made to the Senior Projects of Ravena, P.O. Box 142, Ravena, NY 12143 or to the Ravena Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 144, Ravena, NY 12143.
