O'Leary, Joseph RAVENA Joseph O'Leary, 67, died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at his residence after a long illness. Joe was born in England and lived in Ireland until he was seven, when he moved to the U.S. in Germantown and then moved to Ravena. In 2002, Joe retired from CSX where he had worked for many years. Currently, he was working at Wal-Mart in Glenmont. Joe was a United States Army veteran and volunteered at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany. Survivors include his wife Betty A. O'Leary of Ravena; children, Lisa Rogers of Delhi, Tammy (Randall) Whiting of Selkirk, Shelly (Brent) Gouza of Freehold and Amanda O'Leary of Delmar; grandchildren, Ashley O'Leary, Joseph and Brandon Whiting, Alexander Gouza and Josiah Koronkiewicz; siblings, Timothy and James O'Leary and Mary Kilmer. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Timothy and Edna O'Leary, and brother, Richard O'Leary. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Thursday, May 3 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., there will be a service of remembrance. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joe may be made to the Ravena Rescue Squad or to the Hospice Unit at the Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208.
