Spaulding, Wayne M. RAVENA Wayne M. Spaulding, 63, died suddenly, Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at St. Peter's Hospital. Wayne was born in Port Chester, N.Y. and had lived in the Ravena area most of his life. In 1994 he retired after 27 years of service with State University Construction Fund. Wayne was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Marie Riley Spaulding of Ravena; children, Lee Ann (Bryan) Pough, Nicole Spaulding and her fiancé Matthew Glisson, all of Ravena; stepsons, Wayne A. Boomer Jr. and Michael J. (Tess) Boomer, both of Ravena; grandchildren, Brittany, Berilyn, Bryan, Crystal, Christopher, Amber, Caleb and Victoria; and great-grandchildren, Nadia and Stacey. Wayne was like a father to his special friend, Donald Davis and his sons. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, May 7 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will follow in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Contributions in memory of Wayne may be made to the Ravena Rescue Squad.
