Stratta, Lola C. RAVENA Lola C. Edinger Stratta, 75, entered eternal life Friday, June 22, 2007. Lola was born in Watervliet and lived in Ravena for 43 years. In 1997, she retired from NYS Department of Education after 12 years of service. She was a life member of the Watervliet Elks and Daughter of the Eastern Star. Lola was predeceased by her husband, John E. Stratta; parents, Ray and Catherine Edinger; and brother, Robert Edinger. Survivors include her children, Patricia (John) Kopec of Wapp-ingers Falls, Sandra (Matthew) Vatalaro of Ravena, Daniel (Ashley) Stratta of Ariz., Jean Vatalaro of Coeymans, Jack (Sue) Stratta of Ravena and Peggy (Dale) Houghtaling of Feura Bush; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandsons; brother, Paul Edinger of Fla; five nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Columbia/Greene Hospice and two loving angels, Marge Agresta and Darienne Gagne. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26 at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Contributions in memory of Lola may be made to Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene, 47 Liberty St., Catskill, NY 12414.
