Winne, Shirley D. COEYMANS Shirley Delores VanEpps Winne, 79, daughter of the late Robert and Mabel VanEpps, entered eternal peace on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Albany Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Beloved wife of Randall D. Winne for 60 years; adored mother of Barbara Winne and her fianc? Henry Michelin of Ravena, Wayne Winne of Deposit, N.Y. and Laurie Yanni and her husband Marc Yanni of Ravena; cherished "Nanny" of Sarah and Shelby Yanni; devoted sister of Marilyn Perrin of Amherst, N.Y.; admired and loved sister-in-law, aunt and friend to those that were fortunate enough to know her. Shirley was born in Albany, grew up in Coeymans, graduated from Albany High School, was a longtime secretary in the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk School District and was fondly known as "Mrs. Shirley" to Coeymans preschoolers. She was a lifetime member and past president of the Coeymans Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was recently honored for over 50 years of service and was also a charter member of the Albany County Firemen's Ladies Auxiliary. Shirley was a lady who led her life with kindness, honesty, laughter and love and that is her most important legacy. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 14 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday 4 to 8 p.m. Contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to the Coeymans Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, PO Box 55, Coeymans, NY 12045.
