Byerwalters, Richard J. RAVENA Richard J. Byerwalters, 73, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at home with his daughter by his side. Richard was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He had worked 22 years for Fuller Brush Co. and 10 years for NYS Facilities Development Corp. Richard was predeceased by his wife Andrea Basco Byerwalters and his son, Richard J. Byerwalters Jr. Survivors include his children, Debra (John) O'Brien of Delmar, Brenda (Dennis) Miner of Ravena, John (Lori) Byerwalters of Colonie, Joseph (Anne) Byerwalters of E. Greenbush, David (Nancy) Byerwalters of Albany and Michael (Celeste) Byer-walters of Ravena; daughter-in-law, Laurie Byerwalters of Ravena; siblings, Theresa Murphy, Shirley Widay and Joseph Byerwalters; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by his sisters, Ethel Burdick and Mary King, and brother, John Balfort. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service starting at 9 a.m. Contributions in memory of Richard may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 447 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
