Miller, Milton H. MECHANICVILLE Milton H. "Bing" Miller, 85, of Pawling Ave., died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital. Born and educated in Waterford, he was the son of the late Howard and Grace Negus Miller. Milton was employed for 40 years by the Norton Co., formerly Behr-Manning in Watervliet and retired in 1985. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in World War II and was a former member of the VFW Waterford Memorial Post 5800 and the American Legion Mohawk Post 1450 in Halfmoon. Milton was a baseball fan and in his earlier years played semi-pro baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates Farm Team. He was the husband of the late Muriel Herb Miller who died in 1995. He is father of Valerie Vautrin of Latham and Duane Miller of Mechanicville and grandfather of Chad Messick. He was brother of the late Robert, Kenneth, Earl and Donald Miller and Mabel Potter. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday prior to the funeral from 9 to 11 a.m. Milton was an animal lover and those who wish may make contributions in his memory to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in care of the funeral home office.
