Stafford, Edward J. LAKE CLEAR, N.Y. The family of Edward J. Stafford sadly announces his passing on November 4, 2016, at the age of 76. He was predeceased by his father, George Stafford; and his mother, Ruth (Easton) Stafford. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Veronica "Ronnie" (Brisson) Stafford; daughters, Linda (Kenneth) Scott and Lisa (Michael) Canale; grandchildren, Kenneth "KJ" (Erica) Scott Jr., Kara Scott, Jacob "Jake" Canale; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Lucas Scott; his brother, John (Peggy) Stafford, along with many nieces and nephews. Ed was employed by New York State Health Facilities Association for 23 years, serving as executive director for the last 15 years before retiring in 2002. He loved his Adirondack home which he owned for over 30 years. He enjoyed boating and fishing with family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Edward's life at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Hawley Avenue, Syracuse. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Road (corner of Buckley Road) North Syracuse.
