TURNER Ben Miller Turner Jr., 68, passed away May 4, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born to the late Ben Miller Turner Sr. and the late Marian Turner Beggs on March 21, 1946 in Clinton, Iowa. Ben s life was full. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much. When he wasn't spending time with his family he enjoyed golfing with his buddies and fishing with his grandchildren. Ben was retired from the U.S. Navy as a Master Chief Gunners Mate. His deployments took him all over the world with a majority of his time being stationed at Naval Station Mayport. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Margaret Turner; son, Kevin Turner; daughters, Janice Wish (Todd) and Joyce Myers ( Robert ); brothers, Roy, Timothy, Mitch and Doug Turner; sisters, Patricia Potts (Jerry), Tammy Troyer and Laura Beggs; grandchildren, Madyson and Nolan Myers, Tyler and Spencer Wish; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family to mourn his passing. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and brothers Aaron and Bruce Turner. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10th in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home of Jacksonville Beach, FL, with Chaplain Andrew Burns officiating.
