David Smith Obituary

SMITH David Clayton Smith, son of Kathy Stillman of Orlando, FL and Ron Smith of Marathon, FL, unexpectedly passed away on April 23, 2017, at the age of 43. David was born in Hollywood, FL, on December 14, 1973, and he graduated from Orlando Colonial High School. He went on to attend the University of Missouri-St. Louis and for the past 11 years, David was the president and successful business owner of First Coast IT. He was the 2016-17 Soshoshone Nation Chief for the Native Sons and Daughters organization and a Shaptin member. In addition, David was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He is survived by his daughter Madison Smith of Jacksonville, his mother Kathy Stillman and step-father James Stillman of Orlando, his father Ron Smith of Marathon, sisters Rebecca Martin and Christina Metheny, brothers John Metheny and Darryl Smith, nieces Jode Martin, Emma Wenz and Natalia Day, and nephews Michael Martin and Jackson David. A memorial service will be held on May 13, 11:00 a.m. at San Jose Episcopal Parish and Day School. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David's name to the Native Sons and Daughters of Jacksonville and the San Jose Episcopal Parish and Day School.

David did our IT work. We just found out that he passed away. Such a good technician and just a great person. Took very good care of our computers. We are so so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.
