Kelly Anne Broderick Obituary
Kelly Anne Broderick, 27, of Englewood, Colorado went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 24, 2018. She was born on August 14, 1991 and raised in Jacksonville, Florida by her loving parents Thomas (Tom) and Kathleen (Kathy) Broderick.
As a child, Kelly Anne loved playing softball, volleyball, and basketball, creating artwork, and drinking Slurpees with her sisters. She graduated from Mandarin High School in 2009, where she excelled in academics, athletics, and community service. At the University of Florida, she led Bible study at her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, and graduated Cum Laude. Upon graduation, Kelly Anne worked at UF Health Shands in Gainesville before answering the call to go to eleven countries in eleven months to share the love of Jesus and serve others around the globe as a Group Leader and missionary with the World Race. When she returned home, she served as a substitute teacher and youth volleyball and basketball coach at St. Mark's Episcopal Day School for a year before her love of the outdoors and a career with Boosterthon drew her to Denver in the summer of 2017. Kelly Anne's greatest passions in life were her faith, Disney World, and the friends and family she surrounded herself with.
Kelly Anne is survived in Jacksonville by her parents Tom and Kathy Broderick, her sisters Shannon (Shay) and Cari Broderick, and her maternal grandmother Barbara Bost McGriff. Kelly Anne is survived in Aberdeen, New Jersey by her paternal grandmother Barbara Moynihan Broderick, numerous aunts and uncles, and 13 younger cousins whom she adored. Greeting Kelly Anne in Heaven upon her arrival were her paternal grandfather, Cary James Broderick, and two uncles, James and John Broderick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service and the celebration of Kelly Anne's life on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ's Church Mandarin, 6045 Greenland Road, Jacksonville, FL 32258. The family would prefer that attendees not wear black, but something bright to reflect Kelly Anne's beautiful and adventurous spirit.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a cause Kelly Anne raised money and awareness for through Dance Marathon while at UF, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
