Lawrence Wiley Hood Obituary
Lawrence Wiley, "Larry" of Archer, FL passed away at his home surrounded by family Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was 70 years old.
Born in Birmingham, AL, Larry moved to Jacksonville, where he spent his childhood. He graduated class of 1965, from Paxon High School. He moved to Archer in 1983. He built a career in route sales. Larry was also the owner/operator of an auto repair shop in Gainesville, from which he retired in 2007. Larry enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, camping, fishing, rocking in his chair on the front porch. He loved his dogs, the Florida Gators, and he adored his family.
Larry is preceded in death by his Father, John Wiley Hood, Mother, Levia Smith Hood, Brother, Victor Gene Hood and Grand-daughter Lacey Leanne Langford. He is survived by his Wife, Peggy Acosta Hood, Archer, Step Daughters, Mary Catherine Floyd, Gainesville and Theresa Floyd, Salt Springs. Nephews, Sean (Colleen) Hood, Jacksonville, Aaron (Laura) Hood, College Park, MD and Lucas Hood, Atlanta. Two Grandchildren, Zachary Byrd and Tiffany Floyd. One great grandchild, Ayden and one great niece, Molly Caroline.
