Louise Jettie (Ownby) Newton Obituary
Mrs. Louise Jettie (Ownby) Newton, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home on January 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years Wade "Lee" Newton. Louise was born in Tennessee and lived in Tennessee and Virginia. She moved to Clay County in 1959. She loved to cook and take care of her family. She was an avid quilter and her family will have those quilts to comfort them in the future.
She is survived by her children Norma Lee Lunsford, Janice Thompson (Carl), Betty Lou Tucker (Jim), Billy Ray Newton; her sisters, Faye McFalls (Bee) and Lula Sharp (Larry) her brothers, Lee "Junior" Ownby
(Hazel) and John Ownby (Chris). She is survived by six grandchildren, Wade Lunsford (Kim), Justin Lunsford, Lee Newton, Lindsey Newton, Weston Newton, Lance Thompson and their "adopted grandson" Will "Bubba" Duke (Amber). She is survived by 8 great-grandchildren, Alec, Owen, Sophia, Dexter, Maggie, McKenzie, Lilly and "Trey"
Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at the graveside at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park. Family members will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7 PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, family would enjoy donations being made to Community Hospice and Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Fl 32257 or the .
