Matthew Prince Obituary

PRINCE Matthew Prince, age 20, of Dahlonega, Ga., died Thursday, July 20, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness. Matthew was born March 10, 1986 in Duval County, Florida and had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 17 years. He was a graduate of Lumpkin County High School and was a junior at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. Matthew is survived by his Parents: Rev. Ray and Anita Prince, Dahlonega, Ga., Sister: Ashley Prince, Dahlonega, Ga., Brother: Andrew Prince, Dahlonega, Ga., Grandparents: Paul and Drema Prince, Jacksonville, Florida, Rev. Bob and Margaret Todd, Dahlonega, Ga., Eugene Davis, Jacksonville, Florida. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral services for Matthew are scheduled for 3 P.M. Sunday July 23, 2006 at the Dahlonega Baptist Church with the remains placed in state at the church at 2:30 P.M. Rev. Byron Yawn, Rev. Marty Wynn, and Rev. Bob Todd will officiate. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 P.M. until 9 P.M. and on Saturday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Berea Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1170, Dahlonega, Ga. 30533 or Matthew Prince Scholarship Fund c/o Joanne Seabolt United Community Bank, P.O Box 1060, Dahlonega, Ga. 30533.
