Sister Margaret Victor Keller

KELLER Sister Margaret Victor Keller, SSJ, died August 3, 2009 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida after a brief illness. She was born in Miami, Florida August 19, 1932 to Victor A. Keller and Margaret Braun Keller. Survivors include her brother, Victor J. Keller and her sister, Sister Margaret Jeanne Keller and nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Sister Margaret Victor spent 58 years in service to God and His people around the State of Florida. Her education included a BS in Music Ed with a concentration in Art Education, a Masters in School Administration and a Professional Certificate in Catechetical Ministry. She taught at St. Paul's School in Jacksonville, St. Juliana's School in West Palm Beach and St. Joseph College in Jensen Beach. She served as Principal at St. Charles School in Orlando, St. Theresa's School in Coral Gables and St. Juliana's School in West Palm Beach. Her first experience as a Pastoral Minister was at St. Thomas More Parish in Boynton Beach and since 1992 at St. Edward's Parish in Palm Beach. It was from St. Edward's Parish that she relocated to St. Augustine just one week ago, July 25, 2009. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at St. Edward's Parish in Palm Beach at a later date. A vigil service will be held Friday, August 7, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of St. Joseph Convent. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 11:30 AM in the chapel of St. Joseph Convent, Reverend Francis Lechaira Pastor, St. Edward Church, Palm Beach, Florida, officiating. Burial will be in San Lorenzo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations are gratefully accepted to the Sisters of St. Joseph Development Fund.
