Linda, Eva was my cousin, and I remember her from my childhood. After that, I moved to Gainesville, and later to Orange Park, and lost touch with all of my mom's side of the family.
My mom was Aunt Ollie's sister.
I can remember those early years when we would visit and I did enjoy their company.
I wish I could have known her better.

Heard the news today from David. Spent the day thinking about the past. Ms. McCook was always kind to me. David and I are very close friends and have been for the past 35 years.

My heart is heavy at the loss of my mother-in-law. I wonder did I ever thank her for her bravery as a teenaged mother to leave her homeland and all she knew to come to the U.S. to begin a new life with the strangers who became her family and for her nurturing contribution to the man who is my husband. I hope she knows how much I appreciated her and how much she will be missed.
