Clara Wyche Obituary

WYCHE Mrs. Clara Holloman Wyche, of 1553 Anderson Road, who passed away on Monday, December 17, 2001, was a native of Chancey, Georgia, where she attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Dodge County School System, later moved to Jacksonville, Florida and resided here for many years, Mrs. Wyche was a homemaker and loved her family dearly. A former member of Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, served on District #3, until her son Rev. Anthony Wyche, Became the Pastor of 2nd Chance Help Center, Inc. She then decided to become a member of his church, where he served as “ Mother of the Church” and as an Ordained Missionary. She was predeceased by her husband, Mr. Harry Wyche, Sr., 1 daughter, Sheila and her mother, Mrs. Maxie Holloman. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, a loving and devoted family, Children: Harriet C. Rosier, Ypsilanti, MI; Denise Wyche, Brookshire, TX; Harry (Deborah) Wyche, Jr., Rita (Bernard) Hall, Anthony (Deborah) Wyche, Sr., Rosemary Randolph (Luther Taylor), Ypsilanti, MI, Donnette (Kenneth) James, Katie Williams and Addie Simmons.; brothers and sisters: Patricia Worthy, Emma S. (Ronnie) Long, Cincinnati, OH, Connie Golden, Atlanta, GA; Gladys Banks, Annie Hine, Hattie Tucker, Elenora Holloman, Sarah Floyd, James (Rosetta) Tarver, all of Chauncy, GA.; 28 grandchildren, 6 great-grands, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends. The homegoing Celebration will be 9:00 A.M. Saturday, December 22, 2001 at Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 Helena Street, Rev. Dr. Robert E. Herring, Sr., Pastor. Visitation at the funeral home, Friday, December 21, 2001, from 4-8:00 P.M. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 P.M. The cortege will assemble at 546 W. 59th Street.
