Emma M. Berezak
Emma M. Berezak, 98, of Slatington, died Monday morning, June 11, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital, Palmerton Campus. She was the wife of the late John E. Berezak, who passed in 1985.
Born in Hazleton, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Pop-yak) Sadlock.
Em-ma was emp-loyed as a se-amstress and garment worker for many years. She was a member of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Palmerton.
Survivors: son, Michael J., and wife Deborah, of Plymouth, Michigan; three granddaughters, Laura, Jennifer and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Alanna and Tyler; sister, Gloria Ritter-Webb of Dillsburg, York County; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters Mary Minnick, Anna Marinock, Verna Shofran, Agnes Haraschak, Margaret Petrovich and Catherine Bobby; and brothers Michael, John and Joseph in World War II, Battle of the Bulge.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, with the Rev. Evhen Moniuk officiating. Interment, parish's upper cemetery, Maple Drive, Palmerton.
