Louise Ann Christman, 69, of Bowmanstown, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 26, in St. Luke's Hospital, Lehighton.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Marjorie L. (Lines) Fuschich.
She worked in the garment industry and later was employed by J.C. Penney and the Palmerton Hospital. She waitressed for 20 years at the Sunset Diner, Kresgeville.
She was a member of Faith Alive UMC, Bowmanstown.
An active member of the Lehighton community, she volunteered her time with the Lehighton Downtown Revitalization Committee, the Lehighton Park Christmas Tree Program and the Lehighton Sesquicentennial Anniversary Committee.
An art enthusiast, she sketched and contributed the Indian head logo used for the Lehighton Centennial in 1966. She held social memberships at the Lehighton Orioles Nest No. 183 and the Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Lori A. Rohlfing, and her husband, Mark Tappan, of Lehighton; a stepson, Ivan Christman, and his wife, Roxanne, of Palmerton; and three grandchildren, George Rohlfing, Nathan Ohl and Ivan Ohl.
Service: Funeral service 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. Fourth St., Lehighton, with the Rev. Robert C. Timlin Sr. officiating. Interment, private. Call 5-6 p.m. Thursday.
