Puschock
Mrs. Virginia Almeta Puschock, 102, passed away on Sunday, Aug, 5, in Lexington, KY. She was the widow of Albert Huber and John G. Puschock.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Gordon S. and Malinda (Bierman) Clay.
She was a graduate of Lehighton Area High School and the former Easton Hospital Registered Nursing program.
She worked as an RN at the Easton Hospital and then became a fulltime mother and housewife.
After being a fulltime wife and mother, she worked as an RN in the emergency room of the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, for 30 years.
She was a past member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Lehighton.
Gina loved being a housewife, sewing, cooking, baking and taking care of her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Melinda L., wife of Donald Stanko of Lexington; a sister, Blanche Ruff of Lehighton; a stepdaughter, Anne Marie Kenlin of Chambersburg; three grandchildren, Virgina Stanko, Edward Stanko, and his wife, Shelley, and Donald Stanko, and his wife, Darlene; four great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, several stepgreat-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by four sisters, Naomi Sensinger, Geraldine Hill, Lorraine Serfass and Margery Walk; and three brothers, Joseph S., Gordon and Norman Clay.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport, with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury officiating. Interment, Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, Lehighton. Call 10-11 a.m. Monday.
