Mrs. Anna M. Ogozalek, 101, of 618 E. Patterson St., Lansford, passed away on Saturday, June 1, in the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mahoning Township. She was the widow of Joseph Ogozalek, who passed away in 1948.
She last worked for the former Kiddie Kloes Garment Factory, Lansford.
Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Kocon) Porambo.
She was a member of the former SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lansford, and a current member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford.
Anna also belonged to the Tamaqua American Legion Auxiliary and the Polish National Alliance.
Surviving are a son Leonard, and his wife, Sandy, of Summit Hill; a daughter, Virginia Zabo of Lansford; a brother Walter, and his wife, Sophie, of Summit Hill; a daughter-in-law, Marianne Ogozalek; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and 27 nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph "Buddy," who passed away in 2006; three brothers, Joseph, Stanley and John; and three sisters, Rose Praskowski, Mary Ligenza and Sister Alveria.
Service: Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6, Skrabak-Parambo Funeral Home, 210 E. Bertsch St., Lansford; Mass of Christian Burial 2 p.m., St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford. Interment, SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Summit Hill. Call 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday. Tamaqua American Legion service on Thursday.
