Danny DeMoe Obituary

Danny "Joe" DeMoe

Danny "Joe" DeMoe wrote the following three years after being diagnosed with cancer. "Think about this, everything you are doing everyday leads to one end. Death! You aren't going to live forever. What are YOU going to leave behind? ME? I want to leave humor, there is nothing better than a belly laugh that makes your gut hurt, a smile so big it makes your face cramp, laughing so hard you run out of breath, falling on the floor laughing kind of humor. That's what I want to leave behind. After I am gone in 20 or 30 years, I don't want people to get a sad look on their faces when they think of me. I want them to smile or laugh out loud remembering some stupid stuff I did just to get a laugh! Just enjoy life. I do."

Danny "Joe" DeMoe, age 58, of Floral City, FL passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 15, 2018. He was born in Toledo, OH on April 10, 1960 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. To think of Joe is to smile and remember happy, fun times. With a smile on his face, a joke on his mind, you either laugh or chase him, as the case may be, or who the joke was on. A life that has touched so many in a funny, happy and caring way will go on forever. Joe had many interests, people being first. He loved music, dancing and playing drums with a group of family and friends. Joe wrote poetry and played pool with friends. Happy with his job as "Cable Man", he got to meet a lot of people. A weekly visitor to the library, he loved to read, especially science fiction. He had many friends, he was a friend to many. Joe was always ready to lend a helping hand, or two, whether he knew you or not. He can go with pride for the life he has led.

Joe married the love of his life 34 years ago. Always a hard worker, he took his responsibilities as husband and father seriously. The backbone and caregiver of his family, he has been a great son, wonderful husband, father and grandfather. The seventh child in a family of ten is greatly loved by his brothers and sisters. We are thankful for the time we've had with him, though never enough. Glad for the time he had in Florida, he could be outside almost everyday. Go softly with love into the night my son, there is and will be an empty place in our hearts forever but, we will all meet again someday in a better place. Cancer…the mountain he could not climb.

Danny "Joe" DeMoe was preceded in death by his father, Charles DeMoe; brother, Clark Adam DeMoe; sister, Cherie Lee Abalos; and "dad", Clarence Wright. He is survived by his wife, Melonie DeMoe; son, Michael DeMoe; daughter, Tiffany DeMoe (Kevin); six grandchildren; mother, B. Louise Wright; sisters, Carol DeMoe, Sandra Moskowa (Jed), Darlene Stuard (Bernie), Charlene Meisner (Nick), Holly Sayre, and Kim Braden; brothers, Charles DeMoe (Cathy), Rick DeMoe (Tonya). Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.

So sorry for your loss DeMoe family. Joe was an awesome man that I got to know from the Barbershop and I will always remember his jokes and how he talked about his great family. You are all in my prayers and he will be missed.

Such a happy, sweet picture of Joe. Melanie, I often thought of you both. I truly loved you both. I am very sad that you and the kids have to go through this tough time. I am equally sad Joe had to endure this ugly disease. He did always make me laugh. Such a beautiful legacy. He will be in my heart forever. I pray strength for you and your family. So so very heartbreaking. I wish I could hug you right now. ♥

Melonie, Tiffany, Mike, grand children and Joes siblings. My dearest sympathys to you all. Joe has always been someone to make everyone laugh and just be silly. He had a zest for life that just kept going. When Joe and Mel first bought their log cabin home on Wilford we became good friends, but i do remember a time when he had a heart to heart talk with me about my son and his daughter Tiffany. You see they were in Kindergarten together and they rode the same bus my son Eric wouldnt stop kissing his little girl so he thought he better have it out with the boys parents..lol well that was us and we stayed friends all those yrs.
I know things will be very hard for you all but remember he loved you with all his being.

love,
The Frankforthers
