Suzanne Mayer Obituary
Suzanne "Susie" Marie Mayer, 78 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday March 31, 2021 in her residence. Born October 1, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to Arthur and Dorothy (Bales) Schwartz. Suzanne graduated from Whitney Vocational High School in 1960 and was a beautician for a number of years at Joseph Rothers in downtown Toledo. Suzanne was known for funny antics, love of primitive antiques, and thoughtful and unique gifts. Suzanne was a member of Bethany Lutheran church for many years. Her love of animals Suzanne supported multiple animal rescue organizations. Suzanne loved listening to music and putting together dollhouses.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her loving husband David "Jack" Mayer in 2004, Arthur and Dorothy Schwartz, sister in law, Cleo Bedell, niece, Kimberly. surviving are her daughter, Holly (Todd) Mayer-Howell, stepchildren, Kim (Edwin) Owens, Jeff (Vicky) Mayer, Mark (Sue) Mayer, Kathy (Mike) Dastoli, brothers, Daniel Schwartz, James (Joan) Schwartz, Gary Schwartz, grandchildren, Logan Howell, step-grandchildren, Megan Forlenzo, Raymond Hower, Kelly Hower, Jason Mayer, Michael Mayer, Erik Mayer, Calvin Mayer, Elisha Boyne, Ericca Owens also surviving are a number of step-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd Toledo, Ohio Tuesday April 6, 2021 after 12:00 Noon where services will be held at 1:00 p.m.. Interment Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Toledo Human Society.Condolences can be made at Berstickerscottfuneralhome.com
