KESLER Elizabeth "Betty" Isbell Elizabeth "Betty" Isbell Kesler, age 93, of Delta, passed away at Swanton Health Care early Thursday morning, August 19, 2010, one day before her husband, Paul passed away. Betty was born November 27, 1916 in Delta to the late Frank and Kathryn (Stine) Snyder. She was a member of the Delta United Methodist Church, where she served as choir director for 17 years. Betty also served as choir director at the United Methodist Church in Indian Lake Estates, Florida. She was active in the Ladies Aid Society, Eastern Star and Valleywood Golf Course, where she and her husband were members for 62 years and club champions in 1956. The Keslers were named Golden Wedding Party King and Queen at the Fulton County Fair in 2004. Their secret to a happy marriage: "You have to have God in your home and in your heart." In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her grandson, Patrick Kesler and sister, Jane Gilbert. She was survived by her loving husband, Paul Kesler who together celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on January 1, 2010 and later passed away August 20, 2010. Also surviving are her children, Phil Kesler of Wadsworth, IL, Martha Harrington of Willoughby, OH and Jim Kesler of Swanton; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grand-children, three great-great- grandchildren and two nephews. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, Delta; with a Masonic service beginning at 6 p.m. immediately followed by a Legion Service. A funeral service for Betty and her husband Paul will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Delta United Methodist Church, 101 Northwood Dr., Delta, Ohio 43515. Pastor Jay Miklovic will be officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Delta United Methodist Church, 101 Northwood Dr., Delta, OH 43515 in Betty or Paul's memory.
