John Stadler Obituary

STADLER John J. John J. Stadler passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on November 28, 1929, to parents, Joseph and Theresa Stadler, who preceded him in death. John entered the U.S. Army on March 16, 1951, and served in the Korean War before his discharge on December 15, 1952. He was a lifetime member of Baker Stengel American Legion #319 serving as Commander, then transferred to Conn Weissenberger American Legion #587 upon the closing of Baker Stengel. He was also a member of Voiture #141 40/8, the Eagles Club #197 in Toledo and also the VFW Post #10097 in Fort Myers, FL. John is survived by Rita, his loving wife of 56 years; children, Mike and Chris Stadler, John and Marcy Stadler, Theresa and Jack Nichols and Tom and DeeDee (Wentland) Stadler. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff of St. Anne's Hospital for the excellent care John received. Per John's request, funeral services will be private. Any contributions in John's name may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to the Ansberg-West Funeral Home.
