OSBORNE Mary Lou Mary Lou Osborne, 59, beloved longtime resident of the Point/Shoreland Community, peacefully, with the love of her family, entered into heaven Wednesday, June 10, 2009, while in her home. Mary Lou was born January 17, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio to Michael and Lillian (Tometsko) Placko. Mary Lou was the Office Manager at Dr. George F. Osborne, D.D.S. General Dentistry in Point Place for over 30 years, with her husband and partner. Mary Lou also worked as a Coronary Care Nurse at The Toledo Hospital. She was the recipient of the Wet Hens Award for the outstanding Female Member of the North Cape Yacht Club and was involved with their Junior Sailing Program. Mary Lou was also very involved with the Toledo Dental Society. Mary Lou truly cherished the warm and long lasting friendships she developed with their many patients, friends, and neighbors. However, her greatest employment was that she also served with honor and great pride as the Mother to the Crew of "Group Therapy" and the "Mosh Pit." Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Dr. George F. Osborne, D.D.S.; daughter, Cindy (Patrick) Cassidy; son, Michael W. Osborne; brothers and sisters, Michael (Judy) Placko, Pat Hubbard, Bonnie (J.C.) Kalous, Jim (Cathy) Placko, Kathy (Marty) Kurkul, and Dave (Carol) Placko; aunt, Joan Lanberg; brother-in-law, Bill (Charlene) Osborne; sister-in-law, Kay (Kevin) Pool, and many loving; nieces, nephews and cousins. She left her imprint on the hearts of so many and it is now her memory we honor; so family and friends are asked to come together Friday, June 12, 2009, from 2-8 p.m. at David R. Jasin Funeral Home, Inc., 5300 N. Summit St. (419.726.1583) and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summit and 124th Streets to help us celebrate Mary Lou's life and share their memories of her. Funeral Mass will begin in church at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009, with Father Gerald Chmiel officiating. Interment will be private. Those wishing to express their sympathy with a tribute to Mary Lou's memory are asked to consider Junior Sailing Program at North Cape Yacht Club, , or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
