My Aunt Vicki was an amazing person, mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and every other title she may have held.
She was one of the most caring, unjudgemental, hospitable, loving persons I've ever met...and because of her I now try to make a conscious effort to be like that when I find myself being cynical or negative. She was always quick to give a hug and never shy with her 'love you's'. People often say things like "how are you doing?" or "how have you been?" as a way of making polite conversation, but she was one of the few people who genuinely cared and wanted to hear about your day. Under all of these soft and gentle qualities, she was a strong woman and she showed it until the end. Aunt Vicki you are someone I greatly respect, miss, and love. You'll forever be in my heart and the hearts of so many others.
Love, Nick

My Aunt Vicki was an amazing person. She loved everyone, saw the good in bad, and she loved life. I remember those last moments with her when I went over there, upset about an appointment for an expander when she told me I would always have a beautiful smile. She immediately lightened my mood. That was what she always did. She would show you her smile and you instantly felt better because of her warmth. Whenever I'm feeling down about losing her I always remember that smile, which makes me feel better. Thank you for all you have done for me Aunt Vicki.

Dear Vicki,
I attended your funeral and I found it quite moving. Your younger sister's elegy which highlighted your taking care of your siblings while you were in High School was a tribute. She stated that she looked up you and that you had your own apartment at 17 years of age and attended Start High School by bus in the morning and then off to be an adult working as a secretary in downtown Toledo in the afternoon hit home with all of us whom were there. You ARE clearly a mentor to everyone. No one can take away the great example you gave to the living during your life. I hope to live up to your example. Thanks for the pleasure of knowing someone whom lived life to it's fullest. It was a privilege to have known you. Thank you, Scott Hawkins

Vicki, We haven't seen you much in your adult years, but have kept in touch with Rosemary and know about your loving and caring ways throughout your life. We saw those qualities in you when you were a child, you were the protective sister and friend, and sometimes you were the 'parent', always making sure your mom and family were taken care of...When we think of you, we see that flashing beautiful smile that warms your face and spreads to those around you. You were always a fighter and we knew that you would fight until the end. We are proud of you..
Julie, Milt and I know what it is like to lose a sibling. We know that the closeness you and Vicki shared is not to be compared and know the pain you feel, and can only send our love to you, because words cannot take away the pain.
Rosemary, We cannot imagine the suffering and loss you feel and can only send our love and say that we are here for you. We always have been and always will be.
To all the family, this Hopi Indian prayer is the way we feel about our loved ones that have gone on before. We feel they are always with us, in everything we do. We hope it brings some comfort to you.
"Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glint on snow...I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle Autumn rain...When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight; I am the soft starshine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die...."
We love you all, the Bazzels, Maebelle, Milton (Bubba), Michael, Kelly, Kim and Kristina.

Vicki, I'm so proud of you sister. You were with us til the very end. You did it your way. Alot of people walked away from your funeral wanting to be a better person. You have such a positive effect on people. I was remembering so much the past few days of the good times with you. Like when i came to visit your office and catch up on our families ,(you always offered me chocolate that came in from the lab.) lunches@ Aladdins, a brisk walk when spring hit ,just dialing your cell to say hi. You are the Best person i will ever know. You are what God wants us all to be: A Loving, compassionate, forgiving, kind, non-judgemental ,comforting, nurturing person. I know you wanted to stay so badly and we all wanted that too. We are all forever changed without you but your spirit lives in our hearts and always will because of the sweet person you were.I LOVE YOU SISTER! FOREVER! JULIE

To Vicki's Family: I am so sorry for your loss. She was too young to be taken so soon. I went to grade school and high school with Vicki. Although I have not spoken to her since then, I have nothing but fond memories of Vicki. She was always so sweet to everyone and was always so optimisic.

Because of the BEAUTIFUL person Vicki was inside & out…she will be sadly missed. Her dedication to her family was what I admired most. I first met Vicki many years ago working at General Mills. Then, our family was so blessed when Julie married our brother, Tim. Vicki’s eyes always sparkled with pride when she spoke of her grandchildren, children & even her grand-dogs!
Mark, Jessica, Mark, Chase, Nevaeh, Mikey, Rosemary, Julie & Tim, Lisa, Jeff, Eric & Danny may you find comfort in the memories of her love for all of you. Know that she is free of pain, and the trivial worries of this world. Our thoughts and prayers for strength, understanding and courage are with you all.
Love,

To Vicki's Family and Friends -
Vicki worked on an extended web-team for the Supply Chain training organization at General Mills, Inc. You all knew her as a friend, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and grandma. I wanted you to to know that as much as we appreciated the great work she did for us, we admired even more the wonderful PERSON she was. I sent a note to my team of 50+ learning professionals and told them "I will miss her contributions and steadfast smile, her charismatic presence and can-do attitude." Please know I appreciate the role you played in her life in making her the beautiful soul that she is. We lost a good one.
