Phyllis Bender Obituary
Phyllis Bender, 86, of Perrysburg and formerly of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Browning Masonic Community in Waterville. She was born in Toledo on March 26, 1931, to Clint and Hilda (Petersen) Millard and was a 1949 graduate of Clay High School. Phyllis married James R. Bender on May 15, 1954 and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2013.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (John) Brossia; grandchildren, Josh (Libbe), Kurt (Danielle), and Kyle (Mackenzie) along with seven treasured great-grandchildren.
Phyllis' burial will be private. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at First St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1121 Grasser Street, Oregon, Ohio where Jim and Phyllis were active members for many years. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider First St. Mark's or CedarCreek Church.
