Juanita V. (Poore) Pierce
Juanita V. (Poore) Pierce, age 92, of Toledo, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born on July 30, 1925 to Nat and Nellie (Yeary) Poore in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Juanita enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and making quilts. She loved being outdoors and gardening. Juanita always loved listening to old records and dancing and singing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Poore; brother, Basil Poore; son, Eric Poore; great-granddaughter, MacKayla. Juanita is survived by her loving son, Kenneth "Red" (Ruth) Myers; grandchildren, Michael, Dawn (Brian), Hope (Nathan), Mark and Chad; great-grandchildren, Savanna, Logan, Bailey, Brian Jr. and Hailee; and many other family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
