David John PARKER

1940 - 2021

It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of David John Parker on August 26, 2021 at the age of 81 years. David leaves behind a smile in the hearts of his loving wife Maureen and his children Jeff and wife Diane, and Jodi and husband Robert, and his 4 adored grandchildren Nick, Olivia, Mitchell and Madison. Born May 24, 1940, to Sydney and Edith Parker, David was the third of six children. He met and then married the love of his life Maureen at the age of 21, and worked mainly for Bell Canada till the age of 40 when health complications changed his path. Dave survived a brain tumour and carried on with living his life. All of his life he was an avid collector of antique bottles and glass. Maureen and David celebrated 60 years of love and laughter earlier this year. Dave faced many challenges over the years, but always with a sense of humour, and with Maureen championing him all the way. He was kind, caring and funny always. In honour of David, please think of him when you enjoy a Ticat, Blue Jays or Raptors game, dance to a great 50's rock and roll song or tell someone you love the corniest joke you know. Bonus if it's a pun. Visitation will take place in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia, on Wednesday September 8, 2021 from 12pm - 3pm A private family Interment will take place in the Caledonia Cemetery.
