Sy was a good friend of mine. One of a very few people that had open invitations to family events at my home. I learned a lot about pool and life from Sy. He always left a smile on my face. I will certainly miss him.

I have known Sylvester for over fifty years. We had a million laughs together, especially with Whitey. We originally played on front Street at Russo's Gold Crown Billiards, then on Artic Parkway. I just saw him about six months ago at Pete Fusco's in Feasterville. He walked in about five seconds after I mentioned his name. A great guy, a great player and a great friend. he will be greatly missed and never replaced. RIP my friend.

Be strong and hold your head high. It will be difficult for a very long time because we never get over the loss we just get accustomed to not seing our loved ones. When you are lonely or down lean on and surround yourself with people who genuinely care about you. When you start to question why then turn to JESUS and thank him for this day not yesterday or tomorrow but this day. My prayers are with you and just stay strong, hold to God's unchanging hands. Through the death of my daddy when I got down I just start humming the lyrics to "One Day at A Time" One day at a time sweet JESUS that's all I'm asking of you, just give me the strength to do everything that I have to do, see yesterday is gone but tomorrow may never be mine just give me the strength to take one day at a time.

Also I will remember the dinner that he bought me in Vegas and the great conversation we had. So sad... :-( Rest In Peace my friend
