Barbara Ann "Barb" (Greene) Madine, 83, of Plum Borough, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021. She was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late William Madine; mother of Scott (Brenda Kestner) Madine, Laurie Madine and Kathy (Dave) Martin; adoring grandmother of Kellee (Tony) Frattaroli, Brooke (Dennis) Anderson, Sami (Ryan Romano) Locke, Madison Madine, Camden and Jared Haldeman, Bailey and Aaron Martin; great-grandmother of Katie, Grant, MaKenna, Logan, McKailee and Daxtyn; sister of William (the late Louise) Greene, Donald (Bonnie) Greene and the late Nora (John) Walters; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Barb was a longtime, dedicated employee at Joanne's Hallmark. Known as Barb at Hallmark, her time at the shop allowed her to meet many people over the years, leaving a lasting impression of her very own gold crown. Aside from her love for the store, Barb's heart belonged to her grandchildren, whom she treasured. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD./ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills. Due to gathering restrictions, visitors may be asked to wait before entering the building. Additionally, properly worn facial masks and social distancing practices are required. Funeral service will be private. Interment will be in Plum Creek Cemetery. A celebration of Barb's life will be held at a later time when friends can gather safely outside.
