Kathleen Yanity Obituary
Mrs. Yanity was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church in Indiana.
She had attended Indiana State Teachers' College and was a co-owner of the former Village Inn.
She managed the catalog department at Sears for more than 15 years. She also owned and operated Grandma's Antique Shop.
Her memberships included the Elks Lodge 913 Auxiliary of Indiana, VFW 1989 Auxiliary of Indiana, Indiana Hospital Auxiliary, Indiana Blind Association and AARP, at the national and local levels. She was also an active participant in the Republican Party.
She is survived by a sister, Donna Jean and husband Wendell Edwards, Pilot Point, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and these sisters and brothers: Rose, Angeline, Carolyn "Cookie" Boyd, Dominick, Casmer "Coke", Dominick, Tony and Rocco Yanity.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
