Verna Yanity Obituary
Verna was a member of St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Lucernemines. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary VFW Post 1989, Indiana. Verna owned and operated a beauty salon in downtown Homer City for many years.
Surviving are three sisters; Santina Tedeschi, Palmertown, Bertha Dellafiora, Coral, Josephine Trimble, Blairsville; sister-in-law Catherine Tedeschi, Coral; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Peter A. "Pete" Yanity; an infant daughter; two brothers, John and Aldo Tedeschi; six sisters; Pauline Beers, Pierena Macchioni, Carmella Benigni Gallina, Jennie Dellafiora, Della Tedeschi and Nora Mehalick.
Friends were received at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Lucernemines, with Fr. Douglas E. Dorula as the celebrant. Interment followed in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
